Books on Tape

I covered many miles between UGA College of Veterinary Medicine and the farm my husband and I were operating. Not wanting to waste valuable study time, I recorded my class lecture notes on cassette tapes and listened to them on my daily commutes.

This arrangement worked beautifully until my mother, while accompanying me on a shopping trip, turned on the car's cassette player. My theriogenology notes blared forth comparing the male reproductive system of various species of the animal kingdom. My mother was aghast and thoroughly chastised me for listening to such "rubbish"!

I made sure my class note cassettes were safely stashed away before inviting Mother along on future car trips.
